My favorite thing I hear from clients is

"I never knew I could…"

My approach with clients is to balance the whole self through movement, contemplation, and creativity.

I believe that a healthy marriage between challenge and ease gives birth to strength, confidence, and a fulfilling life.

Trust Your Body
Somatic practices bring you back to your body, which holds wisdom the busy mind is ignorant of.

Like when you automatically sigh out a breath you didn’t know you were holding.

01

Express Yourself
Clients often discover that the root cause of their pain is unexpressed emotion, which becomes inner strength when they let themselves feel and physically express it.

There’s nothing like punching a heavy bag to blow off pent-up anger out of the body, in my opinion.

02

Enjoy and Rest
It is easy to fill our lives up with chores and obligations. We lose track of our dreams.

Take time to rest and recreate yourself. You grow new neuropathways and muscle fibers when you do.

Kind words from clients

“What brought me to Jen more than 5 years ago was her quiet confidence and drive.  She brings you to a new level of strength while smiling.  I have worked out one-on-one with Jen, worked with her on martial arts, and in her group classes.  I love them all.  She has taught me to challenge myself with new workout goals, to listen to my body and support it, and most of all to enjoy working out.  She is a great trainer for people starting a new effort, for those who want to maintain their strength, and anyone who wants to work out in a nurturing environment.”

Jane M.

“In the beginning, I could barely breathe. My mind was racing, busy with daily distractions. Now I am much calmer, more focused, and sometimes even fluid…I used to ruminate. Now I put obsessions aside to be worked on when I’m working on them, but not when I’m working on other things or working on myself. All of this is a result of my yoga practice under Jen’s guidance, counsel, and support.”

“Returning to the gym after becoming a mom for the third time, I decided to use a personal trainer to help me get back in shape.  If there is one word to describe Jen, it is CREATIVE. She has an impressive way of finding new exercises with or without using equipment. She makes sure your body gets the most out of every exercise, working several muscles simultaneously and, at the same time, improving your balance and posture. Investing in my health by using a personal trainer is one of the smartest things I have done in my life. I am so happy I found Jen. With her creativity and the results she has helped me achieve there has been no lack of motivation.”

Lotta K.

I started with personal training because I was recovering from a broken leg, which now has a rod. The other leg does not, so I needed to get my legs to work equally.  I gained so much from working with Jen. I had expectations to get in shape and strengthen my legs, but I got way more than I expected. I learned to listen to my body and trust that my body knows what to do. I would recommend Jen to everyone. She is more than a trainer. Jen has an amazing work ethic. She can teach you so much. She is someone you can trust and count on.

Jen’s Book

Rein: Harness the Wild Power of Your Senses

Rein: Harness the Wild Power of Your Senses is a guide to changing your mind by befriending your wild senses.

It tells the tale of Jennifer’s transformative spiritual retreat during the 2020 pandemic. She logged her experiences and her practices, the source material of the book.

The story features the fifth of Patanjali’s eight limbs of yoga, pratyahara, which is often absent from today’s group yoga classes. It has been an invaluable practice to regulate the nervous system, especially in these times.

For yoga students and seekers of peace of mind.
